The power and risk of mornings
I had a really nice wake up session this morning. This means that I'm more motivated to write, meditate, keep being productive, and not lose myself to the usual distractions of the world that end up spiraling into a day in which I end up doing nothing of importance.
The funny thing about mornings is that they're exactly like having a first impression of someone when you meet them. Mornings tend to define the rest of your day. If you're having a great morning, that's wonderful. It's going to energize and stimulate you in all the right ways so that you can have a great day. On the flip side, a bad morning is dangerous. It can wreak havoc on an otherwise fine day in your life.
I figured a solution to this issue would be to control my mornings so well that I would always have good ones. Unfortunately, life isn't that clean.
Yesterday, listening to Tim Ferris' podcast with Josh Waitzkin, Josh mentioned about how important it is for him to be comfortable in chaos, even going so far as to maintaining a messy room so that disorder would not affect him.
That's how the mornings should be. No matter how you may wake up, what last night was like, or what you will be doing today, all mornings are always good mornings because it's a gift to us of another day on this world. No matter what, it's always something beautiful that we are given.
